Koo Cha in Mandarin, \means “to press,” “to close,” or “to catch,” and “cha” means “tea.” Together, literally means “pressed tea” or “tea caught,” which might be a poetic or descriptive term for a type of tea or a tea-related product. Pan (means “plate,” “dish,” or “cake” in Chinese, often used in the context of tea cakes or pastries. Tou Cha – “Tou” (沱) refers to a type of tea cake shape, and “cha” \means “tea.” “Tou Cha” is a well-known category of Pu-erh tea cakes made in a compressed, round shape, often used in Yunnan, China.
